The original idea for the Rooty campaign, submitted by designers Big Active, featured airbrushed pictures of girls and, although we all liked the style of the idea, it was finally decided to replace the humans with animals.
The album features Copito ("Snowflake" in Spanish), the world's only albino gorilla, who lives in Barcelona Zoo. Apparently, he's an icon in Spain and, although we're not exactly the biggest fans of zoos, you can find out more about him here www.zoobarcelona.com. The airbrush pictures for all the sleeves were created (from original photographs) by Rene Habermacher www.never-stop-movement.de, the original lettering and customisation was carried out by Kidney (also responsible, along with partner Lung, for the "Jus1Kiss" video - you can vist these reprobates here www.newstench.com and the whole thing was art directed by Mat & Gez at Big Active www.bigactive.com, who finally got to feature a girl on the sleeve for "Get Me Off".
